On January 22, 2017, The Own It Institute of Canada will host its 2017 Own It Conference. This one day conference will be held at Calgary’s well-known Glenmore Inn and Conference Centre. Building on our vision of “Together We Are Strong”, the conference will present information on our organization, its initiatives, and how you can become involved. The day will also help prospective mentors navigate our mentorship program, sign up as a mentor, and receive training that can be applied towards level one certification of our multilevel program.
Between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, there will be an Own It Mentorship Training Workshop. At this workshop, you will learn about our official Mentor Certification Program and hear from speakers that specialize in our respective target groups.
Attendees will also enjoy a two-course served lunch (حلال) while they hear from Own It’s President and co-founder, Rahamatullah Siddique, about Own It, its initiatives, and goals. Our esteemed board member and co-founder, Mr. Mahdi Qasqas, who is a registered psychologist and certified counselor, will be delivering a lecture on how to be an effective mentor as well.
Please see our schedule for more information!
